Description of Position:
As an integral part of its technology plan, the world's leading fixed income and derivatives trading firm is looking to employ a talented, self-motivated individual, to work in a senior role within the team developing the company’s next generation ULL / HFT trading platform.
 
 Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
•           C / C++ development and analysis of ULL/HFT server side infrastructure, including but not limited to: function calls for memory management, kernel by-pass messaging (point-to-point and multicast), trading and market data protocol design / implementation, implementation of search / sorting algorithms, system redundancy design.
•           Development of automated test harnesses for stress testing (volume / latency) and back testing of earlier versions.
•           Participate in code / design reviews.
•           Enhancement of existing technological platform.
•           Participate in design and implementation the rollout/deployment mechanism.
•           Participate in the testing and assessment of existing and new technology components and systems.
•           Provide Level 2 system support on a rotational basis.
•           Participate solving / troubleshooting of any issues encountered by the trading technology.
•           Properly document (flowcharts, schematics, instructions, etc…) of the work done.
•           Any other project relevant to the position and skill set as and when required by management
 
Qualifications/Experience
           
•           5 +years’ experience in development of ultra-low latency real-time systems, C++ / Linux
•           Strong skills in both structural and OO programming in C++: concepts, data structures, patterns, multithreaded programming, IPC
•           Advanced knowledge of at least one additional programming language, besides C / C++
•           Good knowledge of sorting and searching algorithms, and their implementation
•           Good knowledge of calculus and statistical methodologies
•           Good knowledge of Linux scripting
•           Good knowledge of communication protocol fundamentals
•           Good knowledge of databases: relational, time-series
•           Ability to recognize critical production and client-facing issues, and prioritize them
•           Ability to communicate at all levels within IT and the various Business Units
•           Ability to work independently and within a team, own issues and solve them
